This complex, three-year design sequencing project consisted of roadway construction engineering and inspection services on an as-needed basis to support the development and construction of widening the I-215 freeway from six lanes to eight lanes. The project also included constructing an auxiliary lane, truck by-pass and climbing lane; improving mainlines and interchanges; widening existing bridges; constructing a new bridge, as well as retaining walls and sound walls on SR-91; constructing a retaining wall; and relocating the on-ramp on SR-60. CALTROP utilized local expertise to support Caltrans District 8 on the project.
