Fire Station No. 79

Fire Station No. 79 is located in Northern Fontana, California, near the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. The station provides paramedic and fire services to Northern Fontana residents and business owners.

The Fire Station was a $3.5 million project that involved the main 6,800 square foot fire station building and four smaller service buildings, which are adjacently sited. The service buildings include the generator shed, fuel tank canopy, storage shed and shade structure. The buildings were pre-engineered light-gage steel structures, which facilitated early fabrication of the steel member components and rapid onsite erection. The station consists of two high-bay parking spaces for two fire engines and the low bay living quarters. The living area consists of the sleeping quarters for five, a kitchen, showers / bathrooms, entertainment and day room, exercise room, offices and storage rooms.

CALTROP provided construction project management and inspection services for Fire Station No. 79.
