Barranca Parkway, Dyer Road, Red Hill

The City of Irvine took the lead on this major overhaul of the Dyer / Barranca / Red Hill intersection, which added new lanes to the heavily trafficked roadways along the City’s shared border with Tustin and Santa Ana. Project improvements consisted of a street widening to accommodate additional through lanes and turn lanes along Barranca and Red Hill, and modifications to the Barranca channel. The project also included construction of new sidewalks, access ramps, and driveways on Red Hill Avenue between Deere Avenue and Carnegie Avenue, and on Barranca Parkway and Dyer Road from Aston Avenue to BNSF Railroad. After its completion, this intersection will represent the largest intersection in the City of Irvine.

CALTROP provided continuous construction management services throughout all phases of the project.
